This fire department is a safe haven for persons wishing to legally surrender physical custody of their infant. A parent or other person having lawful custody of an infant may leave the infant (without fear of prosecution) in the hands of staff. A parent will not be prosecuted for leaving their newborn at a safe haven if they follow the laws, assuming the child is under 45 days old and shows no signs of abuse or neglect.

• Parent Support Group: Offers a safe place for parents to express their feelings, hurts, pressures, share their experiences with one another and to ask questions.

• Sibling Support Group: Offers siblings a safe place to express their feelings, hurts, pressures and questions. Support group is divided into two age groups ages 5-11 years and 12-18 years.
