The Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) provides leadership development for girls (K-12) and programming. We are preparing girls for a lifetime of leadership and positive contribution to the economic well-being of communities.

Venturing programs allow registered youth to participate in outdoor activities such as kayaking, ziplining, climbing, scuba, etc. Scouts BSA programs are delivered through a collaborative effort of Council professional and clerical staff, volunteers, parents, and partner organizations. Services include the following, youth and volunteer training, age-specific camping programs, and leadership skills training and mentoring. Scouts can work on over 100 merit badges. The highest rank is Eagle Scout. The Scouts BSA program runs on a Patrol method with youth leadership, adults take advisory/training roles.

The Heart of America Council serves more than 16,000 youth and 6,000 volunteers in 19 counties in eastern Kansas and Western Missouri.
