Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Section for Special Health Services, Bureau of Special Health Care Needs (SHCN) provides services for children and adults with disabilities, chronic illnesses and birth defects. SHCN administers the Children and Youth with Special Health Care needs Program (CYSHCN), Healthy Children and Youth Program (HCY), Medically Fragile Adults (MFAW), and the Family Partnership. The Adult Brain Injury Program (ABI) services adults with a history of traumatic brain injury. Service Coordination is available for all program participants. SHCN is supported by state and federal funding, while ABI is supported soley by state funding.
